Manchester City kept their hopes of winning a fourth consecutive Carabao Cup alive after overcoming Manchester United 2-0 in their semi-final at Old Trafford.
Unlikely goalscorers John Stones and Fernandinho secured City’s shot of maintaining their quest to equal Liverpool’s record of winning this competition four times in a row – which they managed between 1981-84.
Pep Guardiola’s men have not tasted defeat in this competition since 2016 and will meet Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley in the April 25 final.
