Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Al Hilal have informed the club that they are ready to pay €70M for Bernardo Silva.
Silva is the subject of interest for several clubs ahead of the new season and the Champions League winners are said to be growing pessimistic about keeping their key star.
Silva has two years left on his contract at the Etihad Stadium but the Portugal international has been linked with a move away throughout the last two summers.
Barcelona and PSG have been long-time admirers of the midfielder but in recent weeks, Saudi Arabian clubs have been trying to tempt Silva away from Man City.
According to CBS Sports, Al Hilal have informed Manchester City that they are ready to pay €70 million (£60m) for the services of Bernardo Silva as Saudi clubs continue their pursuit of some of Europe’s brightest talents.
Al Hilal are prepared to offer wages of €50M a year to Bernardo Silva, a salary package that vastly eclipses even what Manchester City are paying him.
The report adds that Sources close to the player insist that he is yet to decide from the four options currently available: Moving to Al Hilal, PSG, Barcelona or extending his Man City contract.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
@CityCookingOil1: “Only 70M? Anything below £80m would be too low!.”
@SamFree55640200: “Way too cheap.”
@MtMcfc: “Surely that’s gonna be rejected.”
@MCFCSOSA: “£60m for one of the best wingers in the world is a joke.”
@RealTalkMCFC: “Nothing less than €80m please.”
@SilkyCyrus_74: “Why arent teams willing to bid more for a player of his quality?? Havertz got sold for like 60 mill so hows bernardo getting bidded for only 10 mill more. Makes no sense.”
