Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a reports to yet another update on the club’s interest in Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.
The 20-year-old is one of the most in-form forwards in world football with a host of clubs believed to be interested in signing him next year.
According to Martin Blackburn at the Sun, Manchester City believe the 15% sell-on clause they have on Jadon Sancho could work in their favour in the race for Erling Haaland. City could agree to waiver or renegotiate that in order to gain an advantage over other clubs pursuing Haaland.
The report adds that the Citizens will be in the market for a new striker this summer as they look to find a long-term replacement for all-time leading scorer Sergio Aguero. City feel Haaland could lead their line for the next ten years and boss Pep Guardiola is a big fan.
It remains unlikely that Dortmund would want to sell their prized asset with an impressive 25 goals in 25 matches, of which only 20 have been starts. He has netted with a hugely impressive 34.3 per cent of his shots, too.
The €100m-rated star is contracted to remain on Dortmund’s books until 2024, but it has been reported that a €75 million (£67m/$92m) release clause was included in that deal which is due to become active in the summer of 2022.
