Manchester City is reportedly interested in making a move for Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni, who played a key role in Inter’s Serie A title win last season and was in the starting lineup for the UEFA Champions League final against Manchester City. The 24-year-old has been a regular starter for Inter Milan this season, making 34 appearances across various competitions.
Inter Milan is facing financial difficulties, which could lead to the potential departure of top players including Bastoni. Manchester City is not the only club interested in the Italian international, as Real Madrid and Carlo Ancelotti are also monitoring his situation. Bastoni’s potential transfer fee is rumored to be around €80 million.
Despite already having defensive options, Manchester City’s interest in Bastoni is evident as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the summer transfer window. The club’s manager, Pep Guardiola, is said to be a fan of the defender, who has been with Inter Milan since 2017 and has gradually established himself as a first-team regular. Other center-backs are also being considered by the club as potential transfer targets.
