Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a reports to another update on Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho’s future at the Etihad.
The midfielder has less than six months left on his contract, and in the summer he can leave the Etihad as a free agent if he decides against signing a new deal with the Citizens.
His future is very much in doubt as there is no signs of an intention from City to renew the player’s contract for a second year running.
According to Mike McGrath of the Telegraph relayed by Sport Illustrated, Fernandinho is ‘torn‘ over his future and has ‘left the door open‘ for City to make an offer to stay.
The reports adds that the Brazilian veteran has offers from South America and Europe over a pre-contract agreement, but is ‘yet to make a final decision‘ on where he will play next season.

“Get him signed up. He’s still the best in that position for us at the moment, absolute hero, good to have in the dressing room for the younger players. No brainer city,” one fan wrote.
Another added: “if we win the Champions league this year, then i think we should let him leave. He’s achieved everything here and it would mark the end of a cycle and would be a fitting way to leave. If we dont, then keep him for one more year, one last attempt to create history with him.”
A third fan said: “Gutted not been able to say goodbye properly to Silva21 never mind adding Dinho to that list. One more year and a joint testimonial/goodbye game for him and Silva in 2022….. still far too good to let him leave this year. Best CDM we’ve ever had.”
While a further City supporter commented: “He is one of our most consistent players & an un-sung hero (along with Gundo). We’ll be significantly worse off without him, so give him a decent contract for the next couple of years City.”
