Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that the club is interested in Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria.
With City having under-performed in the Premier League during the current campaign, Pep Guardiola is expected to make significant changes to his squad this summer.
City’s need for a centre-half is a priority but Pep Guardiola may want more quality options in the defensive midfield department.
According to RP Online Sport, Borussia Mönchengladbach are prepared to sell Denis Zakaria (23) for €50 million, with Manchester City interested in the midfielder.
The German daily Rheinische Post via Inside futbol last week reported that the Citizens and Borussia Monchengladbach were in intensive talks with Denis Zakaria and his representatives.
It is reported that Monchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl has insisted that Zakaria will stay at the club next season. But if the club decide to sell the midfielder, the Citizens are in pole position to secure his services as it is claimed relations between the Citizens and Zakaria’s representatives are good.

He could play central mid too, would be useful for us with both him and Rodri in midfield to stop counterattacks.— pizziman🥶 (@Tjmcfc14) July 20, 2020
