Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that Bournemouth captain Nathan Ake is set to join the Club in a deal worth up to £35million once the season is completed.

City have been heavily linked with a move for many defenders like José Giménez, Upamecano, Milan Skriniar, Diego Carlos and Kalidou Koulibaly in recent weeks, as Pep Guardiola looks to sign a new centre-back at the end of the season.

The latest names to add to the list are is Ake (25), who has strongly been linked with a move to one of the Premier League’s big clubs in recent years.

According to the Guardian, City have won the race for Ake and he will complete a £35m move to the blue side of Manchester once the season is completed.

Ake could become Pep Guardiola’s first signing ahead of the 2020-21 season, with City determined to rebuild the squad and challenge on all fronts once again. City remain keen on signing another defender once Ake is through the door and Napoli ace Kalidou Koulibaly is a priority.

In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Chief and Man City Xtra, City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions

“Not a bad price in today’s market. If both stones and ota go and we get a monster in to partner Laporte then Garcia and ake would be fantastic back up”, claimed one fan.

while another asked, “How many players do they want to sign? If im not mistaken they’ve mentioned more than 10 already this week only. ??? Can we just focus on one thing and stop these publicity stunts???”

Another tweet said: “Lol people in here acting like they know nathan ake since childhood. This guy fits the bill when it comes to homegrown and development.  Pep will make it happen ; just look at delph, zinc etc. Keeo calm lads, this is a solid transfer.”

Another fan tweeted: “Honestly this deal ain’t too bad. We cannot expect 2 new CBs and a new left back. I think Pep sees Ake as a backup for Mendy and Laporte. He is fast and really good at clearances. This most likely means John Stones is off and that is the best news yet. He is done.”
