Phil Foden issues a warning to Manchester City’s rivals, Liverpool and Arsenal, declaring that the goal at Etihad Stadium is to create a unique legacy by winning four consecutive Premier League titles.

Manchester City are on course to become one of the most exceptional teams in the history of the English Premier League. With Pep Guardiola at the helm, the Sky Blues have become a dominant force in England, winning more domestic titles than any other club and securing their third straight league title last season.

Phil Foden stated that the team is determined to secure the league title this season and set a record like no other. Despite acknowledging the immense challenge ahead, they are confident in their ability to succeed, knowing that winning all six of their remaining league fixtures would secure them another title victory.

Additionally, the recent midweek exit from the UEFA Champions League could serve as motivation for Pep Guardiola’s team in their pursuit of the title. Their loss to Real Madrid on Wednesday, due to missing two penalty kicks compared to their opponents’ one miss, could fuel their desire to succeed in domestic competitions.

“We understand it here. We know if we win the Premier League this time we will have done something new. It’s something we have our eyes on,” Phil Foden said during an exclusive interview with Mail Sport.

The City Academy graduate and England international, now a regular starter for the senior team, revealed that they draw inspiration from the messages displayed on the walls each time they train.

“Every time we put our boots on at the training ground that saying is there on the wall. It says: ‘Nobody has won four Premier Leagues in a row…yet’.

“We want to put ourselves in history. Every day I sit and look at that slogan and I think: ‘Why not?’.”

Currently, Manchester City are considered favorites to win the league, holding a two-point lead over their rivals after the previous weekend. However, with six games remaining on their schedule, they cannot afford to drop points as it would open the door for Arsenal or Liverpool to overtake them in the standings.

Moreover, Jurgen Klopp and Mikel Arteta remain determined despite their recent exits from European competitions. They are eager to challenge Pep Guardiola and his squad for the league title.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp remains confident that his team has a realistic chance of winning the league title, even though they are two points behind Manchester City. Klopp, who is in his final season at Anfield, believes that while the upcoming challenge is tough, it is still attainable.

Liverpool and Arsenal will have an opportunity to reclaim the top spot in the league this weekend, as Manchester City will be absent from league action due to their participation in the Emirate FA Cup. A victory for either Liverpool or Mikel Arteta’s team would give them a two-point advantage over City, who have a game in hand.

“It’s not obviously in our hands, it is not about that. I think if we would win all our games, there is a good chance we will be champion. If not, there is a good chance someone else will be champion,” Klopp said during his pre-match press conference prior to their match against Fulham.
