Manchester City could be facing a defensive crisis ahead of their match against Arsenal on Sunday. Both Kyle Walker and John Stones are doubtful for the top-of-the-table clash after picking up injuries while on international duty.

Walker, who only played 20 minutes for England against Brazil due to a tight hamstring, is unlikely to feature in the starting lineup. Stones, on the other hand, suffered an adductor injury while playing against Belgium and is a major doubt for the game against the Gunners.

While concerns remain about the fitness of Kevin De Bruyne, Ederson, Matheus Nunes, and Manuel Akanji, they have all returned to training in some capacity. Manchester City’s predicted lineup includes Ortega, Lewis, Dias, Ake, Gvardiol, Silva, Rodri, Alvarez, Foden, Haaland, and Doku.

Arsenal also have injury woes with Gabriel, Gabriel Martinelli, and Bukayo Saka all withdrawing from international duty. It is uncertain if any of them will be available for the weekend, but it is hoped that at least two will make the squad. Jurrien Timber is close to returning from a serious ACL injury but is not expected to play in such a crucial match.

The predicted Arsenal lineup consists of Raya, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Kiwior, Rice, Jorginho, Odegaard, Saka, Havertz, and Trossard. In terms of bookmakers’ odds, City are heavily favored to win with 23/25 odds at Unibet. A draw is priced at 14/5 by William Hill, while an Arsenal victory stands at 3/1 with Betfred.

The predicted score for the match is 2-1 in favor of Manchester City.
