Manchester City is reportedly monitoring Johan Bakayoko, a winger who has been performing well in the Netherlands this season. The team has already added four new players for the 2023/24 season, with Jeremy Doku being one of the most exciting additions. Doku, a Belgian winger, has shown promise despite some inconsistencies and injury problems, and there is optimism surrounding his potential.
Bakayoko, a 20-year-old forward from PSV Eindhoven, has caught the attention of several top clubs, including Liverpool, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, and Borussia Dortmund. He has been heavily involved in his team’s matches, with 21 goal involvements in 40 appearances. With a reported price tag of €50-60 million (£43-51 million), Bakayoko is seen as a top prospect with qualities similar to Doku, such as speed and good ball control.
As Manchester City considers their options for the upcoming transfer window, Bakayoko could be a potential target to fill a wide right position if Bernardo Silva departs. With Phil Foden possibly playing more in the central midfield, the team may need a winger like Bakayoko who has experience on the right side. The young Belgian’s playing style and impressive performances so far make him an attractive option for City and other interested clubs.
