Manchester City’s Ruben Dias has shown his unwavering commitment to the club, solidifying his future with the team.

Since joining from SL Benfica in 2020, Dias has been a key player in the team’s success, particularly in forming a strong defensive partnership with John Stones.

His contributions have helped Manchester City secure the Premier League title and other major honors.

Amidst speculation about his compatriot Bernardo Silva’s potential exit, Dias has made it clear that Manchester City is where he wants to be.

In an interview with The National, he expressed the importance of being happy at work and prioritizing a winning team over other environmental factors.

“You could be in the most beautiful place in the world but if you are at work and not happy then you are not happy,” Ruben Dias explained.

“Imagine whatever you like: sea, sun, snow, whatever. We are in Manchester. It has its bad things and its good things like any other place but mostly we are happy at work and even though we’ve won a lot we know we can win again.”

He continued, “You ask me where I would rather be? In a place that I can have whatever specific thing I like in terms of living outside work or would rather be in the place that will allow me to keep on winning; I choose the place I can keep on winning.”

Despite a slower start to the season, Dias has reaffirmed his position as one of the club’s top central defenders, making 29 appearances across all competitions. His leadership within the team is evident through his encouragement and motivation to his teammates.

As Manchester City aims to maintain their dominance in European football, Dias will play a crucial role in the team’s success.

His commitment and performance on the field make him an indispensable figure at the club. With his dedication to winning and his integral role in the team’s leadership group, it’s clear that Dias is fully invested in Manchester City’s future.
