Manchester City’s No.10, Jack Grealish, showed support to Kalvin Phillips after the latter sealed a loan move to West Ham, a message he posted on Instagram.

After Phillips signed with West Ham, Grealish remarked that he would miss him and wished him good luck.

Grealish wrote: “What a boy! Gonna miss you 😢 Good luck brother”.

This supportive post from Grealish comes after West Ham negotiated an option to secure a £34m permanent deal for Phillips this summer.

With the probability that the loan deal will turn into a permanent transfer, this may spell the end of Phillips’ tenure with Manchester City.

Several other players, including Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham, also sent messages to Phillips, wishing him luck at West Ham.

The general sentiment seems to be that Phillips will fit in well at West Ham and likely be a key addition to the squad, considering the departure of Rice to Arsenal.

With UEFA Europa League football on the horizon, it is expected that Phillips will have significant opportunities to showcase his abilities.

Moreover, considering the mutual sentiments and well-wishes from fellow players, it seems that Phillips’ move to West Ham has garnered widespread support across his peers.

Ultimately, it is presumed that despite being on loan, West Ham would likely exercise the £34m option to buy Phillips, as it seems like the logical next step.

Hopefully, Phillips will have a successful run at West Ham and remains injury-free during his time with the team.

This new change in Phillips’ career has sparked optimistic support from his peers and it remains to be seen how he will settle into his new club and contribute to their success.
