Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club could target Chelsea center back Levi Colwill if talks over Josko Gvardiol collapse.
The 20-year-old performed very well on loan at Brighton last season and was a key part of the England side that won the U21 Euros this summer, with the young Lions winning the tournament without conceding a single goal.
Such is his potential that several top Premier League clubs have been keeping tabs on him throughout the transfer window, however Chelsea are determined to keep him.
The Blues have already turned down multiple offers from Brighton, the last being worth a club-record £40m but it appears that Chelsea’s other rivals could be about to join the race.
According to Evening Standard, Manchҽstҽr City could target the Chelsea center back who is also attracting interest from Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
As per the report, RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol remains a top target for the Premier League champions but if the deal is to collapse, Man City will turn their attention to Chelsea’s Colwill.
The report shared on Twitter gathered a number of replies from a wide range of Man City supporters.

@RishabA78: “That makes no sense at all, rather keep Laporte then..”
@CodyC901: “Colwill is a solid player, but Gvardiol is on a whole nother level..”
@karimmcfc: “If Gvardiol deal collapse, we should just keep Laporte..”
@h3mzamcfc: “Just Keep Laporte if it collapses.”
@UKlionfan: “I can’t see Colwill being a target…..Gravdiol has been the No1 priority all summer and I think we’ll get that deal over the line….”
@minMcfc: “We’re letting a generational talent stay at Leipzig for Levi Colwill? If Liverpool or Arsenal or someone else picks up Gvardiol, we’ll regret it 100%. We need to get this deal done.”
