Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Kayky has arrived in Brazil to sign for EC Bahia on-loan for one season.
The 19-year-old Brazilian was signed from Fluminense ahead of the 2021-22 season for a fee of €10 million plus another €15 million in variables. He stayed with the club’s U23 squad for a year, and last summer was loaned to Paços Ferreira.
The English club requested the end of Kayky’s loan to Paços Ferreira because of the low performance that the Portuguese club was giving to the striker, who so far has played only nine games this season, with only three in the starting line-up, and has not scored goals.
Portuguese publication A Bola reported last week that Kayky is set to join EC Bahia on loan from Man City after the approval of the membership for the sale of the Brazilian club to City Football Group.
It’s been a couple of months since the City Group took over Bahia, and this is likely to be the first signing the Brazilian club make from one of their new partners.
According to Globo Esporte, Kayky has arrived in Brazil to sign for EC Bahia on-loan for one season.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
