The Premier League have revealed champions Manchester City won a staggering £153million in prize money last season.
Pep Guardiola’s men won their fourth title in five seasons in 2021-22 after a dramatic final day which saw them come from two goals down to beat Aston Villa and pip Liverpool to the crown.
As per the Daily Mail, Finishing first saw City earn a UK merit payment – which is divided according to final league position – of nearly £34m as well as a further £7m internationally.
Manchester City claimed £153MILLION in prize money after winning the Premier League last season.
The news was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
