Manchester City fans have taken to social media in droves to express their delight following the publication of images showing Sergio Gomez’s first training session with the club.

Making 49 appearances across the 2021/22 campaign under the watchful eye of former City captain Vincent Kompany at Anderlecht, the Spaniard registered an seven goals and 15 assists from full-back.
Combined with his defensive capabilities, those figures helped Gomez to be named the Club’s Player of the Year.
