Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims OGC Nice are preparing to submit an offer to sign Issa Kabore.
The 21-year-old defender is a seasoned 27-cap Burkina Faso international and won the Africa Cup of Nations young player of the tournament earlier this year.
Kabore helped his side to the semi-finals of the competition, before they lost on penalties to Cameroon in the third-place match.
He is under contract at Manchester City until 2025 but has been linked with a move away from the Etihad on a permanent deal, with many Premier League sides including Nottingham Forest said to be interested.
According to Foot Mercato, the Ligue 1 side have identified the Premier League youngster as a potential signing this summer, with City open to selling Kabore after the fullback impressed last season out on loan with Troyes.
As per the report, the Burkina Faso international was ‘magical’ at times for Troyes, who are part of the City Football Group system, though despite impressing in France, City are open to selling the defender this summer.
The French publication states that the Nice would be willing to bid up to €10million, but that City would want closer to €15million to part with the youngster. It also state that Brentford and Nottingham Forest have also inquired about the 21-year-old.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters. Take a look at what fans have been saying on Twitter.
