Manchester City could be in line to receive a huge £5million sell-on fee for Leeds United ace Jack Harrison – as Newcastle consider a £35million move for the Englishman this summer.
Harrison caught the eye for Leeds last season – not only for his work rate but his 10 goals from the left flank. It included a hat-trick against West Ham at the London Stadium, and a crucial goal on the last day to keep Leeds up.
The 25-year-old is being heavily linked with a move to St James’ Park, especially since further doubts emerged over Moussa Diaby joining the Magpies.
It was reported last week that Newcastle are willing to offer £20million to sign Harrison. However, that is £15million short of what Jesse Marsch’s side want.
Reports state that Newcastle must pay a whopping £35million for Harrison, a player Alan Shearer thinks is “amazing”. Asked about his future on Sunday morning, Harrison hinted at an exit by saying “we’ll see, we’ll see.”
Now, The Mirror report Manchester City could receive almost £5million. That is because they boast a 20% sell-on clause on the profit Leeds make on their £11million signing. £24million profit, means 20% would be £4.8million.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from Man City fans.
