‘What?’, ‘Are we broke?’ – Fabrizio Romano update on Marc Cucurella has Many Man City fans talking

Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays an update by Fabrizio Romano on the club’s pursuit of Brighton left-back Marc Cucurella.

The Premier League champions have been heavily linked with signing the Brighton defender this summer.

Reports last week claimed that Cucurella, who was named Albion’s Player of the Season after making 34 Premier League appearances, had ‘agreed personal terms’ with the Citizens.

Football Insider insisted that Cucurella wants to ‘quit’ Brighton this summer with negotiations between Man City and the Seagulls at an ‘advanced stage’.

However, Andy Naylor, who is the Brighton reporter for The Athletic, claims that ‘it’s all crap’ with no agreements between the player and Man City.

It is understood that Albion will want more than £50m for Cucurella but they have no intention of selling him just one year after he signed from Getafe for £15m on a five-year deal.

In a new development and update on City’s pursuit of Cucurella, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has offered insight into the situations concerning the Brighton defender.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City are waiting to sell at least one more player before submitting a bid for Marc Cucurella.

In reaction to this Fabrizio’s claims, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions. Here’s is a selection of what some had to say on Twitter:

“I’m calling for everyone here to stay calm. The squad will be as good as last season, probably better, come august. Trust Txiki and Pep. Pep has never had a transfer window that’s actually weakened his squad – it will be fine. Also, Grealish + youngsters will come to life.”
