Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Kalvin Phillips is scheduled to undergo his medical tomorrow.
The Premier League champions and Leeds United agreed a fee for Phillips at the end of last week, but the midfielder has been away on holiday.
But the England international’s big money switch is expected to accelerate in the next 72 hours as he joins Pep Guardiola’s Premier League champions.
Football Insider are now reporting that Man City are set to ‘finalise’ the signing of Phillips. They will pay an initial £45m plus £5m in add-ons.
The report adds that Phillips is ‘pencilled in for a medical on Friday’. It is also noted that ‘all the paperwork is in place’ and he ‘is set to double the wages on his current deal at Elland Road’.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
