Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Arsenal could announce the signing of Gabriel Jesus within the next few days.
The Brazil international has seemingly emerged as the Gunners’ top target to lead the line in the absence of the departed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
Eddie Nketiah has committed himself to a new five-year deal at the Emirates Stadium, but Mikel Arteta is still after at least one new number nine ahead of the 2022-23 season.
Rumours of a move for Jesus have been swirling for months now and it looks like Arsenal could be closing in on the Brazilian.
Goal now report that Jesus is ‘close’ to completing his move to Arsenal and a deal could be done in the coming days.
It’s suggested that Arsenal have had a bid worth around £30million rejected, with City demanding £50million for the striker.
The report adds that Arsenal could use performance based add-ons to tempt City into selling Jesus this week.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
Yea it’s finished. Thank you for everything 💔 https://t.co/ASavtpb7HX pic.twitter.com/DCbOA8XvLp
