‘Bring him back’, ‘Ferna is leaving’ – Some Man City fans react as the club likely to send 20y/o academy star to the Championship again next season

Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Pep Guardiola’s side are likely to send Tommy Doyle to the Championship again next season.

The 20-year-old has risen up through the academy ranks at the Etihad Stadium and has made seven senior appearance for City to date.

He spent the first-half of this term with German side Hamburg but struggled to get into their side, playing just seven times in all competitions before heading back to his parent club this past winter.

The tenacious midfielder, who is due to return to his parent club this summer, has revitalised his campaign at Cardiff, although would be looking for a team likely to challenge for promotion.

According to Manchester Evening News, Tommy Doyle is likely to be playing his football in the second tier in the next campaign but is more likely to join a team challenging for promotion.

As per the report, there is high level of Championship club interested in a loan move for Manchester City midfielder.
