‘Yes please’, ‘Sell ASAP’, ‘Would be an incredible deal for us’ – Many Man City fans react as £65M-rated star is linked with Serie A club

Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Juventus are targeting a summer move for Gabriel Jesus.

The 24-year-old is one of the senior players who had been linked with a move away from City during last summer transfer window.

The Brazilian has reinvigorated his City career this campaign with 6 goals and 9 assists in 28 appearances so far in all competitions but finds himself at the bottom of the pecking order when Pep Guardiola is picking his attackers.

Given the fact Jesus has decided he doesn’t want to play centrally, he has narrowed his opportunity for starts – especially when his most direct competition for a spot on the right wing, Mahrez, is having his best-ever goalscoring season and already has 21.

The €60m-rated star has less than 18 months on his contract at Manchester City, and with no sign of a new contract, a reports have emerged claiming he could be taken to Italy in the summer.

According to Daily Star Sport, Pep Guardiola wants to sign Dortmund star Haaland this summer, which could see Juventus move for Jesus as the striker eyes a World Cup squad place with Brazil.

The report says Juventus believe the fee will be around £65M and are optimistic that Jesus will be tempted by a transfer.

The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra, and it attracted plenty of attention from the fans, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts on the speculation.

“Gonna miss him but it’s a good offer and we need to cut the attack down especially if we’re bringing Haaland in”

“If we truly are eyeing Haaland or any other striker, Gabby makes sense as a sale to offset that. He’s not being utilized here and his value is very solid. I think it’s be good for both sides..”

“Love Gabby to death but for 65m, it’s hard to say no. Also, there’s no way Juve will pay 65m for a player with 1 year left on his contract. In fact, not just Juve but no club will pay that. Won’t happen.”

“It’d be sad seeing Gabriel leave. City wouldn’t be centurions without his goal.”

“I love Jesus, can’t thank him enough for what he’s done. But £65,000,000 would be unbelievable business.”

“Even without Haaland coming in I’d be fine with this. If someone realistically had to go it would’ve been him..”

“Would be an incredible deal for us. If Haaland and Alvarez join in the summer there’s no way Jesus is getting any game time.”
