Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report of the club’s interest in Shakhtar Donetsk right-back, Vinicius Tobías.
Vinicius Tobías is a Brazilian right back, who only signed for the Ukraine club in January. He has yet to make his debut for Shakhtar Donetsk but is widely regarded as one of the most promising young right-backs in the world.
The 18-year-old wonderkid could leave Shakhtar Donetsk as a free agent due to FIFA’s ruling in the wake of the war-ravaged situation in Ukraine.
According to AS as relayed by Sport Witness, the Shakhtar Donetsk right-back is of interest to both Manchester City and Manchester United as well as Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.
The Premier League champions could look to bring him as cover and competition for Kyle Walker. Plus with Joao Cancelo establishing himself on the left side of the defence, the Cityzens need a backup at right-back.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
