Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club have reached an agreement with Atletico Mineiro regarding the transfer of youth sensation Savinho.
The Atletico Mineiro youngster is regarded as one of the most promising young players to come out of Brazil lately and could be on the verge of a move to the Premier League in the coming season.
City recently signed 22-year-old Julian Alvarez from River Plate and it seems the Premier League champions’ are interested in yet another highly-rated wonderkid from the continent.
The signings of less established talents such as Marlos Moreno, Yan Couto and Kayky are an indication of how highly City officials regard South America as a hub for potential superstars.
City had made an official bid for the youngster earlier this month, and it appears they have now reached an agreement with Atletico Mineiro.
According to Globo Esporte as relayed by Sport Witness, a verbal agreement is in place between the City Football Group and Atlético-MG for the transfer of Savinho, with a bid accepted.
The report claims only the signatures of all those involved is missing. The deal is worth €6.5M, plus a potential €6M in bonuses.
Even though the City Group and Atlético-MG have all details agreed, the player, who isn’t expected to move to Manchester City, at least not for now, is still waiting to know which club he’ll be playing for.
The report was shared on Twitter and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
