‘Yesss’, ‘Bring’, ‘That boy is so good’ – Many Man City fans erupt over links to possible ‘huge signing’

Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club have ‘put’ Ajax midfield wonderkid Ryan Gravenberch on their transfer ‘wish list’.

The 19-year-old has been in impressive form for his Dutch club during the 2021-22 campaign, scoring once and providing four assists in 28 appearances in all competitions.

The Netherlands international has entered the final 18 months of his contract in Amsterdam, though, and there has been widespread speculation surrounding his future in recent months.

Mundo Deportivo on Friday reported that, there is a serious interest from Man City, with the Premier League champions firmly in the hunt for his signature this summer.

According to the latest report from Soccernews as relayed by Sport Witness, Manchester City have ‘put’ Ajax’s Ryan Gravenberch on their transfer ‘wish list’.

The €35m-rated star has had the eyeballs of European bigwigs on him since he became the youngest player to ever play for Ajax in the Eredivisie at 16 years and 130 days on 23 September 2018.

In the last three and a half years, the Dutch prodigy has gone from strength to strength, establishing himself as a mainstay in the middle of the park for his club while also breaking into his national side.

With Gravenberch attracting interest from Pep Guardiola’s side and other top clubs, Ajax may find it difficult to retain the teenager beyond this campaign.
