Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report of an update on the future of attacking midfielder James McAtee.
The versatile 19-year-old attacking midfielder has been in Manchester City’s academy for eight years, having first joined the club in 2013.
The City academy graduate, who Pep Guardiola once lauded as ‘exceptional’ as per the Manchester Evening News, is one of the most exciting names coming from the club.
There has been a huge queue of clubs showing interest in James McAtee. Rangers have headed the chase for McAtee, along with a host of Championship clubs.
However, according to Stuart Brennan via MEN, Manchester City are expected to keep James McAtee in Pep Guardiola’s squad.
Stuart Brennan adds Pep Guardiola rates McAtee very highly, and would rather see him learn by playing with his first-team squad than by heading out on loan, in the same way as he resisted loan moves for Phil Foden in his teenage years.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.

Yess. I hope he does not go on loan because then i feel its impossible for him to get into the first team
