Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Barcelona would be willing to pay around €45m(£38m) for Ferran Torres.
Reports have emerged in recent days suggesting the Spanish international could be tempted by a potential return to La Liga in the January window.
The Spanish press even insisted that Torres has an agreement with Barcelona and has received Pep Guardiola’s approval to leave the Etihad. It’s now down to two clubs to reach an agreement for the transfer.
The Catalan giants are looking into the possibility of signing the Manchester City forward, especially after the appointment of Xavi Hernandez.
However, the talks have not advanced yet, with the Premier League giants having no intention of selling their star player in January, but are ready to negotiate the 21-year-old’s sale, but will not give any discounts to the La Liga side.
According to Mundo Deportivo, City have priced Torres at €60m(£51m) – over double the £21m they paid Valencia for him last year – and are willing to let him go if Barca stump up the cash.
The report goes on to claim that Barcelona would be willing to pay around €45m(£38m) for Ferran Torres – a gap that is ‘neither insurmountable nor crazy’
The report states that although there is difference of €15m(£13m) in the valuation, the gap is ‘not considered insurmountable or unreasonable’, with both Torres and Barcelona seeing it feasible to reach an agreement with
Man City.
The report was shared on Twitter and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts and opinions.
Either they pay what we want or he stays, he’s still on a long term contract but yet hell go for next to nothing because it’s Barcelona 😴 https://t.co/IGsdF23QLX

At least we’re gonna make a profit on a player for once

Profit either way, would love him to develop under Pep but if he’s not happy no reason to force him to stay. All I want is a damn striker CJ.

Any club other than City would’ve priced Ferran Torres at €100M minimum but knowing we have Txiki and co. running our club, €60M is fair. https://t.co/i8Z38aJ6pZ
