Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club look likely to miss out on the signing of Theo Hernandez after an update surfaced regarding the left-back’s situation.
Manchester City are still on the hunt for a left-back With Benjamin Mendy currently suspended by the club. Oleksandr Zinchenko is City’s only recognisable left-back at present, though Pep Guardiola has been able to call upon Joao Cancelo to operate in that role.
The premier league champions have been keeping tabs on the highly-rated AC Milan defender who possesses many of the attributes you might associate with a Guardiola full-back.
However, there is now increasing optimism in Milan that Hernandez will sign a new contract. His current contract expires in 2024, but he is set to be rewarded with improved terms.
According to Calciomercato, the Rossoneri are worried about Manchester City’s ‘pressure’ but are confident Hernandez will commit his future.
Hernandez joined Milan from Real Madrid in 2019 and has gone on to make 91 appearances in all competitions, scoring 16 goals with 16 assists. He’d certainly improve City’s backline, but it remains to be seen if he’ll make the switch.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.

Theo’s pace is absolutely amazing and better defending than Zinny. But I’m happy with Zinny, Theo is a good additional to the squad.
