Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims Tottenham are set to fine striker Harry Kane for not showing up for pre-season training on Monday.
The England captain – who has been enjoying an extended break after leading the Three Lions to the Euro 2020 final in the summer – was due to arrive back at Tottenham for pre-season coronavirus testing on Monday morning.
However, Kane allegedly failed to turn up amid persistent speculation surrounding a move to Manchester City, and he is now set to face the consequences.
According to the Evening Standard, Spurs have been left disappointed with Kane’s conduct, and the striker will be hit with a ‘significant’ fine from the North London club.
The report claims the final penalty is likely to be dependent on how the situation unravels, with it unclear when/whether Kane will agree to return in the foreseeable future.
The report adds that Kane did not make contact with Tottenham to explain his absence, and it remains to be seen if the England skipper will agree to return to the club at all.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many Man City fans have been sharing their thoughts and opinions.

Kane, who has been heavily linked with a move to the Etihad, has publically cried out for a move since the end of last season, where despite his heroics Tottenham could only finish a lowly seventh place in the Premier League.
The forward believes he has a gentleman’s agreement to leave this summer after a promise made by Tottenham chief Daniel Levy last year.
