Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims Harry Kane does not plan to return to Hotspur, until he is granted his wish to leave Tottenham, with the premier league champions willing to go as high as £130M for his signature.
The 28-year-old refused to report for pre-season training on Monday over chairman Daniel Levy’s refusal to grant him a big-money transfer, with Premier League champions Manchester City keen to pay over £100m to sign him.
Tottenham officials are said to be furious with the decision that the England man has made to stay away from the training ground and will fine him if he does not report for duty.
The England international has been one of the finest forwards in world football for a number of years now, and it makes sense that he’s keen to move to a bigger club where he can finally get his hands on trophies.
According to The Athletic, City are confident they can sign Kane, who is also hopeful that his refusal to report for training yesterday can help smooth things over for a move to the Etihad Stadium.
The report claimed that some employees at City became aware over the weekend that Kane has no desire to train or play for Tottenham ever again.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy’s stance remains that he is not prepared to sell Kane to another Premier League club and will only consider a bid from a foreign club if it is in the region of £150million.
City are prepared to increase their offer to £130million, but this would become irrelevant unless Levy changes his mind on refusing to deal with a fellow English side.
The report adds that Pep Guardiola has no back-up options in mind for Harry Kane this summer: despite having a list of alternative striker options earlier in the year, he only wants Kane at Man City.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many Man City fans have been sharing their thoughts and opinions.
Noooooooo 100mil is enough. Don’t cave in.

1. Yeah fair but that’s not the reason

2. We’re giving up other better players by overpaying/signing Kane (e.g. Mbappe and Lukaku).
3. When you take out the English bias Kane isn’t our best option. We work best when our ST is a Aguero-like poacher, Kane is very different.
USE THAT MONEY ON HAALAND

Pointless rather go for haaland at that price, Kane is 28 you can get 5 years max out of him, haaland is younger and has more potential

I don’t like this move, he is too expensive , and he is already 28 years for goodness sakes ….. How many years u wanna get from this kinda guy especially in a physical league like this

Just get him. After all this balls he should play for us. Anyone who is willing to go this far deserves our shirt. Kane needs to become a Manchester City player!
