‘Please don’t go’, ‘was good on Saturday’ – Man City fans reacts as transfer update €70m-rated star emerges

Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report of another update of AC Milan’s interest in Bernardo Silva.

Silva has been a superb player for City since joining from Monaco in 2017 but his future is in doubt now after City signed Jack Grealish for £100million. They are now stacked with attacking options and Bernardo’s game time is expected to be limited this season if he stays at the club.

The Portuguese is prepared to leave the Etihad and have been been linked with a move to Barcelona and Atletico Madrid this summer. City boss Pep Guardiola even admitted in a recent press-conference that Silva wants to leave the club before the transfer window shuts on August 31.

The Daily Star reported last week that AC Milan were plotting a £45 million move for Silva, with the Serie A outfit eyeing a two-year loan deal worth £15 million before exercising the option of completing a permanent transfer for £30 million.

According to today’s edition of Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanNews), the rumours that emerged from England are not completely off. However, the costs of the operation make it ‘very complicated’ for Milan this summer, as the newspaper describes it.

The €70m-rated versatile attacker still has four years left to run on his contract with Man City, who were back in Premier League action at home to Norwich City on Saturday afternoon.

In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.
