Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Atlético Madrid are ‘willing’ to make a bid for Bernardo Silva.
The former Monaco man emerged as one of the players who could be on his way out of the Etihad this summer as they look to freshen up their squad.
The defending premier league champions could see a chain reaction of developments within their existing squad if they complete the signing of Jack Grealish from Aston Villa.
The England International is reportedly in Manchester today to finalise his transfer to the Blues.
According to Mundo Deportivo as relayed by Sport Witness, Jack Grealish’s imminent arrival will create a ‘domino effect’ with several current City stars likely to leave as a result.
The report claims Bernardo Silva is one of them, and he had been discussed as part of recent negotiations with Barcelona, but they cannot afford him at this moment in time.
The report adds that Atlético Madrid are ‘willing’ to make a bid for Silva, who has ‘set his sights’ on playing in La Liga and is ‘very attracted’ to Spanish football.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra and City Chief, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.

Good for him. He wasn't going to play much this season it seems. Will definitely miss him if he leaves

I would be so sad to see Bernardo leave. He's a special player.

Each and every penny of the £40m spent for Bernardo was worth it, if he does leave, I’ll be disappointed but I wish him all the best

He can go now. With Grealish done we need funds for Kane. Good luck Bernardo!

No way! City want 55-60M which is acceptable considering he has abysmal stats for an attacking mid

4 years on his deal, if he truly feels unhappy and would like to move we should let him for the service he’s given us BUT we hold the cards in negotiations and should only accept a sensible offer

He has been a amazing player for us, his high press and energy is unbelievable. personally i think we should try to keep him and give him a chance, But if he wants to leave we have to respect his decision and wish him the best.
