Plenty of Manchester City fans have taken to Twitter to react after leading football journalist Fabrizio Romano dropped a little update on Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo.
The premier league champions are eager to sign a striker this summer, and Ronaldo has surprisingly emerged as an option for the Manchester club.
The forward has been unsettled and concerned with the direction the Old Lady is heading in and is apparently searching for an exit out of Italy.
The 36-year-old has been told by Juventus that they will not stand in his way if he wants to leave and he could be available for less than £30m.
Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes, who is reportedly in Manchester, has been working in recent days to see whether a transfer can be engineered.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Jorges Mendes contacted Man City over a possible move for Cristiano Ronaldo, but Juventus want €25m and Pep Guardiola’s side have no intention to pay any fee.
Although City have not shut the door on Ronaldo, the Premier League champions have made Kane their main target and will continue to pursue the Tottenham striker before the August 31 transfer deadline.
The real question following the Ronaldo to Manchester City talks, what happens to Harry Kane and his potential move to the Etihad – is it now in jeopardy?
Here’s what some City supporters had to say on Twitter about Fabrizio Romano’s update on Ronaldo to City…

We don’t want to pay 25m for Ronaldo who will bring in loads of new fans and shirt sales but we are happy to pay 160m for a injury prone Kane. We need to sack our board of directors man because wtf
