Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on twitter, which relays a report on the future of Oleksandr Zinchenko at the Etihad.
The 24-year-old left-back, who was linked with a move from the Etihad, has proved to be a valuable player for Pep Guardiola in City’s recent fine run of form this season.
The Ukrainian won’t get the same credit that John Stones, Ruben Dias and Cancelo receive, but has proved that he warrants individual praise of his own.
He has played an integral role in the defensive solidity that has maintained the club’s run of 16 consecutive victories in all competitions.
Since Zinchenko made his first league start of the season against Chelsea at the beginning of December, City have won nine games in a row and conceded just two goals.
According to Fabrizio Romano on the latest episode of the Que Golazo Podcast, the decision from Manchester City is to keep Oleksandr Zinchenko for next season.
The report claimed that City officials are ‘so happy’ with the player, and potential suitors can forget about any loan possibility that could include a buy option.
In reaction to the report shared on twitter by Man City Xtra, many Sky Blues have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.
Finally getting the respect he deserves 👏

Perfect. Zinchenko stays, and a new LB comes in to push himself to even higher limits to truly fulfill his potential

Well playing him at LB isn’t the solution long term
But I truly hope he also shines in midfield where he should also feel comfortableOtherwise very few can achieve what Zinchenko’s been doing and huge credit for that, the reactionary fanbase are grumbling at that

I’d actually be tempted to give Zinchenko a new contract if we get a proper left back. Hes a great back up and a great squad player to have cause he can play in loads of positions and actually plays at a good level
