Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims the club is close to wrapping up a deal for the future by signing Fluminense’s Brazilian starlet Kayky.
The Brazilian teenager is highly rated by his parent club Fluminense and has already gained international attention.
He has drawn comparisons with fellow compatriot Neymar thanks to his mesmerising feet and ability to shimmy pass a player, and has been linked with a selection of clubs across Europe.
Sportsmail reported last month that City were in talks with Fluminense to sign teenagers Kayky and Metinho – with the Brazilian club holding out for more than the £15million package that was on the table.
According to Globo Esporte relayed by CitizensBR, Manchester City have reached an agreement with Fluminense for the teenage duo worth an initial fee of €15 million, with various ‘bonuses and obligations‘ potentially taking the deal to over €30 million.
Breaking down the initial sum however, it is reported that €10 million plus bonuses are specifically linked to the sale of Kayky, while a further €5 million plus bonuses are linked to Metinho.
As per Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Premier League club are on the brink of completing a move for the attacking midfielder, in a deal which could rise to £15m due to add-ons.
The report claims that the 17-year-old will immediately join up with City’s set-up if the final paperwork and work permit get signed off.
A move to to the Etihad would be hugely beneficial for the teenager as Pep Guardiola has helped some outstanding youngsters to grow during his career.

He hasn’t even signed for us yet and he’s already better than Greenwood

His highlights looks promising. He does go to his left all the time, didn’t see him use his right foot once and I watched a lot of them, but the vision, the power on his shot, ability to ass in close/crowded area is promising. Nice potential here.
