Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims the club have turned down the chance to sign Roma striker Edin Dzeko in the January transfer window.
The Cityzens were reportedly offered an unlikely reunion with striker Dzeko in the January transfer window following the bust-up with his manager
According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester City have turned down the chance to re-sign Dzeko on a short-term deal.
A seperate report from Sport Witness reports that Dzeko’s agent even tried to work out a swap deal involving Džeko and Gabriel Jesus, but Pep Guardiola’s side ‘rejected’ the idea of taking their former player back while sacrificing Jesus.
Despite being 34 years of age now, the Bosnia and Herzegovina captain would still have a lot to offer not only in terms of his leadership both on and off the pitch.
Džeko’s agent is now pushing the attacker to Inter Milan and as a part of the operation, Alexis Sánchez can move to Roma.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by Man City Xtra and Man City Chief, Many Man City fans who are disappointed with the news have expressed their thoughts and opinions.
Don’t get why we would to turn it down .what’s the worst that can happen dzeko would be great ofthe bench

it would’ve been a swap with Jesus tho

Would have been the worst swap deal ever after Ibrahimavic and Eto’ swap in 2010

Gabriel Jesus will fail us 👍🏾

He’s more clinical than Jesus. But that doesn’t mean Jesus is a bad player overall, there are things he does better than Dzeko, but finishing alone, Dzeko is clear.

Shame if true. He doesn’t really fit with the way we’re playing at the minute, but he’s an excellent plan B if you’re 0-0 against a top side with 20 mins to go. I think City are favourites for the league anyway, but the boost of a proven plan B striker would make us even better

Bad move from us that. Can’t rely on Aguero these days, he’s never fully fit and Jesus just isn’t clinical in front of goal. What harm would it done to bring him in until the end of the season and give us another attacking option.

I’m so unhappy to this event.we should take him as a backup striker.we need a proper striker now specially in ucl
