Manchester City are also one of a handful of European giants taking an interest in 18-year-old Brazilian forward Gabriel Veron according to a report from Spanish outlet SPORT.
As relayed by Sport Witness, the latest reports claim that that City and their rivals Manchester United are both in talks to try and thrash out a deal for the teenager who has €60 million release clause.
It is reported that a deal for Veron could cost around €20million (£18million), though Palmeiras would ideally like a little more – something like the €32million (£28million) they sold Gabriel Jesus to Man City for in 2016.
He is often compared to Fellow Brazilian star Neymar owing to his pace upfront and his ability to take on the defenders.
Having had success with Jesus, City could now raid Palmeiras again for Veron who is tied down to a contract until 2025 with a huge release clause.

We want haaland. If they think gabriel veron or stevanovic and those bunch of kids they signed can do anything, they are wrong. We signed wonderkids this season for at least 80M and none of them is playing for us

Gabriel Veron is The future. He will for sure be better than rodrygo and Vinicius. Hope he comes to city soo but I like that he’s taking the Neymar road. Staying local until his game is good enough for europe and then can come and instantly make an impact.
