Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report on the club’s stance on Bayern Munich defender David Alaba.
City has been long linked with the Bayern Munich defender, with a number of clubs, including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United, credited with an interest in the defender over the last few months.
Reports from AS this week reported that Man City had submitted a significant proposal to the player and were hoping that a contract offer of £240,000 a week will be enough to lure the 28-year-old to the Etihad for the 2021-22 campaign.
According to both the Manchester Evening News on Friday afternoon, club sources have denied any suggestion of making a move for David Alaba, and that the club have no interest in signing the player.
The report adds that City’s priority for the summer transfer window remains a striker, having focused on defence last year and midfield the year before that.
