Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that claims Angelino will ‘almost certainly stay’ at RB Leipzig.
Having failed to nail down a place in City first team under Pep Guardiola, the fleet-footed Spanish loanee is now lighting up Leipzig under their young coach Julian Nagelsmann.
The on-loan City man has been in fine form for Leipzig this season scoring eight goals and managing five assists in 21 appearances in all competitions.
Leipzig will have the chance to make the deal permanent once the Spaniard has played 12 competitive games for Leipzig—five of those have to be played in the second half of the season.
According to Sky Deutschland transfer expert Max Bielefeld as relayed by Sport Witness, the Spaniard will ‘almost certainly stay’ with Julian Nagelsmann’s side because of ‘very interesting’ conditions mentioned in the contract.
Leipzig sporting director Markus Krösche interviewed expressed desire to retain Angeliño.
“My gut feeling tells me that there is a high probability that he will stay with us. He has been extremely important to us since he came to us last winter,” Krösche told Sky Deutschland.
“He made the breakthrough immediately and was able to very quickly implement the things that Julian Nagelsmann demanded. We are very happy that he is with us. We can assume that he will stay with us longer.”
