Manchester City fans have taken to Twitter to react after Pep Guardiola says he is not thinking about signing a new striker in order to revitalise his attack.
City’s lack of cutting edge proved costly again on Tuesday night as they were held to a 1-1 draw by West Brom despite having 26 efforts at goal, with only seven of them on target.
That left Guardiola’s men with 18 goals from their opening 12 league fixtures, barely half the tally of 35 they had at the same stage last season.
But Guardiola and does not believe he needs to bring in other forwards to change the side’s prowess in front of goal.
“Absolutely not,” was the boss’ response when asked if it’s time to consider other options.
“Sergio could not play much and Gabriel has incredible numbers, his minutes to goals in the Premier League since coming here is one of the best.
“He scores goals. It is not just on his shoulders. We took 13 corners last game so everyone can score goals. The way we defend depends on the strikers and the same happens up front.
“The strikers have more responsibility, but everyone is involved to try to win games.”

Pep and his rigidity on his philosophy. God help us.

Pep’s stubbornes and I know all attitude, will be City’s downfall this season. Even a blind jackass can see that City need to reinforce up front. Sergio missing this season has made that as plain as day. Even Manchester United are doing better than us in that area. Wake up Pep!

It was embarrassing honestly. 13 corners and none converted against West Brom. Liverpool took 7 against Tottenham and Firming scored the winning goal.

Stubborn Pep and Txiki must know that Aguero injury prone and Jesus need competition so another striker in January is needed to salvage the season! This team as is won’t even get pass the quarter finals of Champions League but less finish top 4 in EPL!
