“Never pass the ball to him again’ – Man City fans reacts to De Bruyne’s teammate vote at the 2020 Best Men’s Player awards

Many Man City fans have been replying to a tweet that was recently posted by Man City Xtra after he relayed the news that Riyad Mahrez voted Kevin De Bruyne in 3rd, behind Sadio Mane and Robert Lewandowski, for The Best FIFA Men’s Player of 2020.

Following the crowning of Lewandowski as the 2020 Best Men’s Player on Thursday night, it was revealed how Kevin De Bruyne was voted for by some of his fellow professionals.

This is how some prominent players ranked De Bruyne in amongst their top three for the award: Harry Kane: 2nd, Manuel Neuer: 2nd, Eden Hazard: 3rd, Riyad Mahrez: 3rd, Gareth Southgate: 3rd, and Robert Lewandowski: 3rd.

The City Captain however finished in fifth place for the top award of the evening, behind Sadio Mane, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandowski.

Despite the fact that De Bruyne had no chance to win the award, a lot of the Man City supporters that replied to this tweet were displeased by the fact that Riyad Mahrez voted Mane ahead of his team mate.
