Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims the club is closely following Lyon star Houssem Aouar with Paris Saint-Germain ready to step up their interest in the French midfielder.
The 22-year-old, Who has been very impressive for Lyon over the last two seasons has been tracked by the Citizens for over 18 months, but they have not had any discussions with Lyon about signing him so far.
According to RMC Sport, via Le10Sport, the board at the Parc des Princes have lined up talks with their Lyon counterparts next year, over the signing of Aouar.
It remains unclear how keen the midfielder himself would be on the move, but report also noted that both Manchester City and Juventus are keeping a close eye on developments surrounding Aouar.
Guardiola has long been a fan of the player, publicly praising him during the 2018/19 season, after his side drew 2-2 with Lyon in the group stages.
“Houssem Aouar is a very good player. He is incredible,” Guardiola said.
French midfielder has made nine appearances for Lyon this season in Ligue 1, scoring twice and assisting a further two goals.
