Liverpool have shown an interest in signing Manchester City and Spain centre-back Eric Garcia, according to reports in England.
The 19-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season, and has so far decided against signing an extension with the Citizens.
The Sun last week reported that Arsenal are “keeping tabs” on the City’s wantaway defender – joining Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona in the race to sign the youngster.
According to ESPN, Liverpool have emerged as a potential competitor for his signature, with the Premier League champions still threadbare in defence following injuries to Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez.
