Man City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that the Citizens have had an offer for Sevilla defender Jules Kounde turned down.
The 21-year-old enjoyed a stellar 2019/20 season in La Liga, making 29 appearances as his side comfortably finished in the top four.
According to Marca via Sport Witness, the Citizens approached Sevilla with a €55m (£50m) offer for the 21-year-old, but the bid was rejected as the Spanish side are not prepared to sell for under his €90m (£82.5m) release clause.
Estadio Deportivo also provides information claiming City’s idea is to spend around €60m on a new centre-bac, which is the same figure they offered for Koulibaly, but Napoli have rejected their proposal.
A potential swap deal involving Otamendi has been ruled out because Sevilla cannot afford Otamendi’s high salary.
Kounde only joined Sevilla from Bordeaux last summer and made 40 appearances during his first season at the club, contributing two goals and one assist in the process.
The young Frenchman Kounde would certainly be viewed as a prospect for the future if he were to move to the Etihad in this window.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Chief and Man City Xtra, City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.
