Man City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that Arsenal have made an approach for Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar, who has been tracked by the Citizens for some time now.
Mikel Arteta and Pep Guardiola are believed to be a big admirer of the player’s talents. Guardiola had even called the Lyon midfielder ‘incredible’ after City’s draw with the French side last season.
City and Lyon prepare to meet again today in this season’s Champions League quarter final, giving Aouar the opportunity to take on his potential new employers.
The 22-year-old, Who has been very impressive for Lyon over the last two seasons has been tracked by the Citizens for 18 months, but they have not had any discussions with Lyon about signing him so far this summer
According to L’Équipe via GFFN, Premier League side Arsenal have recently made an approach to sign the 22-year-old attacking midfielder.
The report adds the gunners have even offered Mattéo Guendouzi plus money in exchange to sign Aouar but the Ligue 1 side have no interest in a swap deal.
