Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that Barcelona want to ensure the signing of Eric García and and would be open to negotiate, again, the exchange between Joao Cancelo and Nelson Semedo to facilitate the agreement.
Guardiola according to reports (Soort) was keen io bringing Semedo to the Etihad and was even willing to part with money and offer his former club Cancelo in order to reach a deal.
According to the front cover of Spanish outlet Sport, Barcelona hope a straight swap deal with Man City for Semedo and Cancelo will help them sign Eric García, who is their main target.
Barcelona are looking to former La Masia prodigy Eric García as a long-term replacement for Gerard Piqué having sold the youngster to Manchester City in 2017
It remains to be seen if that actually goes through. García is under contract at the Etihad until 2022 and City are working on a contract renewal for the 19-year-old La Masía graduate.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Chief and City Xtra, Manchester City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.
So we lose 2 players and get 1 back…..bad deal, Keep Garcia, if they really wanted him they wouldn’t have let him leave in the first place— Jonathan (@Jonathanctid) July 22, 2020

“Sport is extremely unreliable. They’ve been doing more opinions all Summer over actual news. Believe me, I’d love for this to happen but it has 0 reliability,” claimed one fan.
while another asked: “Why would we swap Cancelo for Semedo? Lol.. And seems like Cancelo is finally catching his strides in this team. Look at the last match!! And Garcia hope he stays.”
Another tweet said: “Pep confirms yesterday that Cancelo is happy in training and he’s settled at the club. Garcia has been chosen ahead of Otamendi and stones in big games since the restarts but yet SPORT think we would swap the two of them for Semedo.”
