Manchester City officials have issued a warning to the representatives of a key transfer target regarding the club’s interest this summer. With Bernardo Silva looking to leave and Kevin De Bruyne in the final year of his contract, City is seeking to strengthen their midfield options for the upcoming season.
Among the potential targets for Manchester City are Newcastle United’s Bruno Guimaraes and West Ham’s Lucas Paqueta. However, concerns have arisen over a potential move for Paqueta due to ongoing legal issues and investigations by the Football Association. City has indicated to Paqueta’s representatives that they may have to consider other options if these issues are not resolved soon.
Despite Paqueta’s desire to join Manchester City and the openness of West Ham to sell him, there are still hurdles to overcome in completing the transfer. City also has their eye on Guimaraes, whose release clause could be triggered if necessary. Competition from other clubs like Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain is expected if City decides to pursue Guimaraes more seriously in the coming months.
