Manchester City is set to make an official bid to sign Besiktas attacking sensation Semih Kilicsoy, who is also being targeted by Tottenham Hotspur. The Premier League champions are reportedly preparing a bid worth around €30 million for the 18-year-old Turkish forward, who has impressed with 11 goals and two assists in 29 appearances for Besiktas so far.
Despite not being the first-choice striker for Besiktas, Kilicsoy has managed to catch the attention of top clubs in Europe, including Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund. Manchester City’s interest in the versatile attacker comes as a surprise, given their strong attacking options, but his ability to play across the frontline makes him a viable target for the club. Tottenham, on the other hand, see Kilicsoy as a potential option to bolster their attacking options.
With a potential record-breaking sale of around €30 million for a Turkish club, the race for Kilicsoy’s signature is heating up as the summer transfer window approaches. It remains to be seen whether Manchester City or Tottenham will be able to secure the young forward’s services, as both clubs look to strengthen their squads ahead of the new season.
