Manchester City are reportedly in talks to sign West Ham United midfielder Lucas Paqueta in the upcoming summer transfer window. The clubs are discussing the potential move and the player is keen to join City, with no issues on personal terms. Paqueta has been a key player for West Ham this season, with impressive stats in terms of passes into the penalty area, goal-creating actions, successful tackles, and recoveries.
City were linked with a move for Paqueta last summer but a deal was not secured. The Brazilian midfielder has performed well for West Ham since joining from Lyon in a £51m deal, making 79 appearances and contributing 13 goals and 14 assists. He has earned a season rating of 7.16/10 from WhoScored, making him the second-highest-rated player at West Ham.
Paqueta’s effectiveness on and off the ball, as well as his skill and contributions to the team, make him a potentially top signing for Manchester City this summer. With talks ongoing between the clubs and the player eager to make the move, City could secure a valuable addition to their squad for the upcoming season.
